The best-dressed managers in football

From the crisp white shirts of Andre Villas-Boas to the toned tailoring of Pep Guardiola, here are the best-dressed football managers around.

But as these coaches stand on the touchline passing on their instructions, the topic on who they are wearing comes to mind.

There are the ones whose match day costumes are probably picked by their 3-year-old daughters and others who rock every time they make an appearance to lead their teams on the field or off the field.

Pep Guardiola

The current manager of Manchester City and former footballer is a genius in his own right. Pep has a great sense of style which can be described as a touch of fresh air.  His choice of toned tailoring, knitted tops and casual wear makes him one of the most stylish managers of the game.  But what we’ve come to love about him during training, when he’s on the touch line and press events are his grace and poise.

Roberto Mancini

Roberto Mancini first caught our eyes when he was coach of Manchester City but it wasn’t because of how well he did his job but his sartorial style.  Well, who can fault him? Style is second nature to Italians.

Currently the head of Zenit Saint Petersburg, he continues to age like fine wine in his crisp white shirts and fine blue jackets.  Everyone especially Man City supporters know how much the gentleman loved to accessorise with his scarves and this makes him one of the dressiest managers in the game.

Zinedine Zidane

Zidane has always been sexy and stylish. It did even spike higher when he gave Materazzi that header in the 2006 World Cup.  The former midfielder and current coach of Real Madrid is relatively new to the coaching job but his style has always been revered with brands like Louis Vuitton, Adidas Y-3 and Mango employing his services as a model. His love for styles that are understated and less bold colours make him the youngest stylish coach in the European league. You’ll always find time to stare at Zizou either in a suit or a tracksuit.

Jose Mourinho

They don’t call him the “Special One” for nothing as the Manchester United manager does everything in a stylish mode. Call it arrogance, swag or whatever deems fit but the silver-grey hair of the Portuguese matches everything he dons very well. Just like his other comrades on this list his wardrobe just like his coaching skills is on another level but not without criticism.

Luis Enrique

Luis Enrique’s personal style is quite versatile yet minimal. The former Barça manager hardly gets it wrong with his suit and trainers look for most of his games.  His classic tailored suits paired with leather shoes makes him another stylish chap.

André Villas-Boas

The Portuguese manager is also another stylish manager who deserves your attention. He is also a purveyor of finer things especially when it comes to picking his flying ties and crisp white shirts.

Quique Sánchez Flores

Although not household name as the others on this list, Flores is seriously underrated.  As they say first impression count and he rocking a slim suit, button-down shirt and canvas trainers for his press introduction. The manager’s style consists of a lot of cardigans and blazers that we so much adore.
