Player Ratings: Ghana 1-0 Mali

Razak Braimah 7 - Made two outstanding saves late in the game as Mali pushed for the equaliser. His most assured performance in a Ghana shirt.

Frank Acheampong 7- An effective performance from the makeshift left back. Made one run that nearly resulted in a chance for Gyan. Handled the pace of Sako well.

Harrison Afful 7- Dealt with the threat of Yatabare well but still short of his high standards.

John Boye 8- Another player enjoying a renaissance.  Was fantastic in aerial situations.

Daniel Amartey 8- Has made the centre back position his with some classy performances. Read danger well and handled the power of Marega with ease.

Thomas Partey 9 -The unsung hero of the team, so much of the work he does goes unnoticed. Played out Mali captain Sylla.

Christian Atsu 7-A scintillating display of wing play again from a player who seems to come alive for AFCON. One mesmerising run should have been called off by Andre Ayew. Tapered off in the second half as Ghana sat deeper.

Mubarak Wakaso 6 -Vastly improved, he was quick in the tackle and dictated the pace of the game.

Andre Ayew 5- A quiet game by his standards as he played within himself.

Jordan Ayew 6-Made up for his first game crimes with a peach of a cross to assist Gyan on the first goal. Worked hard for the team.
