Ahmed Musa sets three records after scoring against Iceland

The Leicester City attacker has emerged as the first Nigerian to score a brace in two different World Cups after scoring twice against Iceland.

Nigeria put up a scintillating second half performance to edge Iceland 2-0 on Friday to revive the hopes of Nigeria qualifying for the knockout stage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Ahmed Musa was the man who made things happen for Nigeria and his two goals have set three different records.

Musa, having scored two goals in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, has increased his Word Cup goal tally to four making him surpass the Emmanuel Amunike, Ikechuku Uche and Amokachi to this enviable feat- 2 goals each.

In 2014 Ahmed Musa sored a brace as the Super Eagles lost 2-3 against Argentina, becoming the first Nigerian to score a brace in a World Cup game and by registering another brace he has extended his record as the first to do it in two different Mundials.

He has also emerged as the first Nigerian to score in two different FIFA World Cups.
