Ghanaian Olympian graduates with Business Administration degree in the U.S

Emmanuel Dasor represented Ghana in the 2016 Olympics in Rio

Ghanaian athlete Emmanuel Dasor has graduated from the Western Kentucky University in the United States with a degree in Administration.

Dasor who gained scholarship to study abroad read Business Administration and in the process obtained his first degree.

The 200 metres runner is expected to start his masters degree in January next year from the same university.

Emmanuel Dasor is the latest Ghanaian athlete to obtain a university degree, following the footsteps of compatriots John Amponsah and decathlete Atsu Nyammadi, of javelin thrower and decathlete, respectively.

Ghana currently have over 36 athletics on scholarships in the US pursuing various degree programmes.

It would be recalled that Emmanuel Dasor finished 6th in the second heat of the men’s 200m event in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

Dasor started in lane 2 but he failed to make the semi-finals in a time of 20.65 seconds which was slower than the 20.49 he made to qualify for the Games.
