Baba Rahman says he is unlikely to sustain a long term injury in his career ever again

Ghanaian right back Baba Rahman has stated that the injury woes that has caused his career progression to stall is now behind him.

Baba Rahman who sustained a knee injury at the 2017 African Cup of Nations has been out for over a year and is now trying to get into his stride with German club Schalke 04.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Rahman did say he will be ready to get back onto the pitch in the coming days although the final decision will be left to the coach Dominico Tadesco

“I hope that in the next few days I will become an option for the coach but he will decide when it’s the right time.

Baba Rahman did go to insist that the days of long term injury are behind him

Despite a number of setbacks during the recovery process, he insists that both the physical and psychological burden that accompanies a long term injury of this nature are firmly behind him.

“The injury doesn’t give me anymore problems, it doesn’t hurt me anymore and even mentally it doesn’t affect me.”

Rahman is likely to play a role in the club as Schalke have booked a date with Kevin-Prince Boateng's Eintracht Frankfurt in the DFB Pokal semi-final.
