His full name is Daniel Nii Tackie Mensah Welbeck

Danny Welbeck was born on 26th November, 1990, so he will turn 27 years in five months time.

He was born in Manchester to Ghanaian parents.

His mother is from Nkawie in the Ashanti region, while his dad is from the Greater Accra region of Ghana

Welbeck by virtue of citizenship by birth place had the chance to play for both Ghana and England, but he chose to play for the Three Lions  of England

Danny Welbeck started his  football career at Manchester United, but after 13 years with the club he parted ways with them-2010 to 2011 he played for Preston North End and Sunderland on loan from Manchester United.

Danny Welbeck joined Arsenal from Manchester United after 13 years stay at old Trafford to end the romance with his boyhood club in 2014 to enable him enjoy much playing time.

The English with Ghanaian decent has represented England in two major international competitions-the 2012 European Championship and the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Danny Welbeck has won eight trophies at the senior level- one league title, two FA Cups, two community shied, two league cups and one FIFA Club World Cup.

He was voted the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year 2007-2008, which is handed to the Most Outstanding Manchester United young player.

Danny Welbeck has scored 17 goals for Arsenal in three seasons, but it took him seven seasons to score 29 goals for Manchester United. This means he has been prolific at Arsenal
