Asantehene: I was shocked to see Kotoko bottom

The owner and life patron for the Porcupine Warriors has disclosed that he was terrified to see the club at the bottom of the league

Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on Tuesday in a visit to the training grounds of Kotoko told the playing body and the supporters of the club how their position on the league log troubled him.

The 23 times Ghana champions have been struggling to get good results this season. They have lost three, won 1 and drawn 2 of the 6 games played so far in the Ghana Premier League and lying at the foot of the league ladder.

There is much instability in the club especially, following the decision of the management to ask Coach David Duncan to step-aside as the way forward, hence compelling the Otumfuo to step foot at the training grounds of the club.

“Kotoko is mostly seen at the top of the league table and the worst is to lie at the middle of the table, but that wasn’t the case," he told Kotoko supporters when he visited the players at Adako Jachie

"I was reading the newspapers and checking on the league table and found that my team is at the bottom of the league table.

"I was stunned when I saw the position of the club so I had to come here unannounced without informing anyone.

Asante Kotoo will welcome Liberty Professionals to the Baba Yara SportsStadium, Kumasi on Saturday.
