GPL team for match day 29

These are the players who distinguished themselves in their various position on match day 29 of the Ghana Premier League

Ernest Adu

The Bechem United goalie was brilliant in post despite his side’s 2-1 defeat. He came to his their rescue on countless occasions.

The Wa All Stars centre back will be used at the right back in a make shift position. He was instrumental at the back with his overlapping and accurate defending to keep Bolga All Stars attackers at bay and even scored but it was disallowed.

Jacob Laweh

The Tema Youth skipper has been one of the best in his position this season and he put up another good performance when his side edged Bechem United 2-1 in Tema. His runs and recovery along the left wing was superb.

Theophilus Ogoe

The Tema Youth centre back was solid at the back and won most of the air balls and helped to organize his team’s defence line.

Vincent Atingah

He was a pillar at the Hearts of Oak defence. He was comfortable on the ball and his interceptions were spot on.

Noah Martey

He controlled the midfield well when his side Aduana Stars edged Elmina Sharks to become league champions. Martey’s distributions and tackles were on the high level.

Jackson Owusu

He played very well in the heart of Kotoko’s midfield. Jackson Owusu bossed the midfield well with his tackles ability to win the balls and his decent long passes added a lot of bit to the attack of the Porcupine Warriors. Jackson Owusu was named the man of the match.

Benjamin Tweneboah

The winger for Elmina Sharks was the dangerman in the Elmina Sharks team. He outrun his marker on several occasions and even scored the only goal of the game for the Elmina lads when they lost 1-2 to Aduana Stars.

Kwasi Donsu

The attacking midfielder prevailed when he came face to face with a very good Hearts of Oak midfield which had Leonard Tawiah and Samudeen Ibrahim. Without the support of his midfield pair Justice Blay, Donsu had to do more to have a good game, yet he had the breakthrough and even hit the woodwork. He was adjudged the man of the match.

David Abagna

He has been Wa All Stars best player of the season and on a day his side beat Bolga All Stars 6-1 he ensured he delivered one of his best. Hs assists, dribbles and runs counted a lot and even beat Asuanzie who scored four times to the man of the match award.

Kweku Asuanzie

The Wa All Stars striker scored four goals against Bolga All Stars to set a club record as the first player to register four goals for the Wa lads in the Ghana Premier League.
