Appiah, who played for Hearts of Oak in the mid 1990s, watched WAFA’s 2-1 win over Liberty Professionals together with Tony Baffoe and other members of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG).

And the ex-Black Stars captain was left impressed by what he saw.

“I think that the place is really, really nice. When we drove in, they told Tony [Baffoe] that the place is nice. This is my first time,” Appiah said in an interview with WAFA SC TV. ”We have heard about WAFA so many times that when it comes to ball possession they are very very good and indeed that’s what I saw today. I think I admire and I give it to the coach, the players are very disciplined on the pitch.”
