Vincent Atinga demands GH¢70,000 to stay at Hearts of Oak

The influential defender is set to depart if the club does not meet his financial terms.

Atinga has been a revelation since joining the Accra-based club and was instrumental as Ghana annexed the WAFU Cup on home soil in September.

However, his long-term future at the Rainbow club remains in doubt after he applied for floating player status from the Ghana Football Association on Thursday.

The Graphic Sports reports that Atinga is demanding a whopping ¢70,000 as signing on fee before he will extend his contract with Hearts.

Currently, the centre-back is free to speak to other clubs, having run down his contract at Hearts of Oak.

“It is true that my contract has ended but until management agrees to the terms and conditions that I am demanding, I will not renew my contract,” Atinga is quoted as saying by the Graphic Sports.

Reports in the local media suggest that many key players of Hearts of Oak are set to depart the club, with the likes of Winful Cobbinah, Rueben Gnagne, Kwame Kizito and skipper Thomas Abbey all set to leave following the expiration of their respective contracts.
