Gyan scores first competitive goal for Kayserispor

The striker opened his account for the Turkish club on Tuesday.

Gyan opened the scoring in the 13th minutes against four-tier side Van BB during the third round of the Turkish cup series.

The goal was enough to secure qualification for Kayserispor into the next round, with the club unable to add further to the striker’s early goal.

The Black Stars captain joined the Turkish outfit in the summer and scored three goals during pre-season.

However, he could not replicate his pre-season form when the main campaign began, and even missed the club’s 2-0 win over Antalyaspor last week due to injury.

The former Sunderland striker will hope to score in the Super Liga too soon in order to lift the pressure off his shoulder.
