The 24-year-old has spent the last three years as a peripheral figure at the club. However, his importance has only increased since the turn of the current campaign.
Partey’s development at the club has been taken to a whole new level, with the midfielder adding goals to his game.
His four goals this season makes him Atletico Madrid’s joint top scorer, together with Angel Correa.
Spanish tabloid Marca reports that the Black Stars anchorman is set to be rewarded with a pay raise after impressing manager Diego Simeone.
The report claims that Partey will be handed a bumper deal which will see his buy-out clause also increased.
Partey is contracted to the Rojiblancos until the summer of 2022, having signed a new deal only in February.
He was also Ghana’s top scorer during the World Cup qualifiers, scoring an impressive four goals in five games from midfield.
