Kotoko coach Polack and assistant Ablodey visit team at training after road accident

Asante Kotoko head coach and his assistant visited the playing body of the club during their training session at Adako Jachie on Wednesday.

Steve Polack and his assistant coach Godwin Ablodey were at the training ground of the Kumasi Asante Kotoko at Adako Jachie to pay the playing body a visit after they suffered accident last two weeks.

Asante Kotoko were involved in a road acident on the Nkawkaw highway last two weeks when returning from Accra following a  defeat against Inter Allies. The accident claimed the life of the Equipment Officer of the club and several others sustained various degrees of injury including Steve Polack, the head coacha nd his assistant Ablodey.

The Englishman was discharged last Thursday after undergoing a successful injury at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

The visit to the training grounds on Wednesday will be a morale booster for the players, who are yet to kick a ball since the accident. Their encounter with Hearts of Oak – which was to be the immediate game after the accident – was called off.

It has since been rescheduled to be played on Sunday, August 6. The team is yet to recover from the trauma, its medical director, Michael Leat, had once said.
