Fan threatens to kill referee after controversial decision

Referee Samuel Sukah awarded a controversial penalty to Hearts of Oak to aid them to a 1-0 win over rivals Asante Kotoko in Ghana's biggest club fixture on Sunday

Kotoko center back Ahmed Adams blocked a shot from Hearts marksman Samuel Yeboah with his back in the 18-yard box, but Samuel Sukah - who replays and action shots showed to be close to the action - awarded Hearts a penalty for a hand ball.

Hearts defender Vincent Atingah stepped forward to score the only goal of the game from the resultant spot kick in the 83rd minute to hand the Phobians all the three points the crucial encounter.

"Hearts played well but the penalty was a bad call by the referee, it was totally uncalled for," K-5 told Sikka FM.

"What Sukah did was very sad and unfortunate. Some of the supporters called me and they were livid. If he doesn’t take care, we will kill him," Sika FM.
