Deportivo confirmed Emre's arrival on Friday, with the 25-year-old signing a contract that will see him remain at Estadio Riazor for the next three seasons.

Emre joins Deportivo after helping Galatasaray win the Turkish Cup at Fenerbahce's expense on Thursday.

The two-time Turkey international made over 130 appearances for Galatasaray following his debut for the Super Lig giants in 2010.

Deportivo preserved their top-flight status for the 2016-17 season, finishing four points above the relegation zone.
