However, despite still waiting to make his debut for the club due to a thigh strain, Mendy is already having to deal with the strictness of laws in the UK.

The France international stepped out in town with his gorgeous Ferrari – priced at £250,000 – but found himself in trouble with the Manchester Police for ‘illegal parking’ of his car.

The newly-signed City defender drives a Ferrari F12 F2X, but wrongly parked it outside the Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel where he is temporarily staying following his move.

The Ferrari was partially parked at a taxi rank for over an hour, prompting a warden to issue him a fine of £60.

The left-back then took a turn and re-parked his car rightfully for just £6 (That should be nothing much for him really).

Mendy, 23, made 25 appearances for AS Monaco as the club beat PSG to a surprise Ligue 1 title, as well reaching the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
