Manchester United just upped the game with the announcement of their new player Fred. Alexis Sanchez's announcement has been squashed to bits.

In an announcement video that will go up there with the one for Alexis Sanchez, the English club started their announcement video with Fred The Red by a piano like Sanchez’s.

A voice tells Fred The Red it wasn’t his signing and the club was not going down the piano route against.

Then the real deal happens.

The video posted by Manchester United’s official Twitter handle instantly went viral with thousands of retweets and likes in the early minutes.

A statement on the official website of Manchester United concerning the transfer read:

"Manchester United is delighted to announce it has finalised the transfer of Frederico Rodrigues de Paula Santos (Fred) from Shakhtar Donetsk.

“The player completed a medical and has agreed a five-year contract with the option to extend for a further year.

“The 25-year-old Brazilian international midfielder has won a number of club honours, including three league titles in Ukraine.”

“Fred will complement our other midfielders' qualities, which we need; his creative brain and passing vision will give us another dimension to our game.

“I am very happy he is joining our club and I believe our players know how important he can be in our team,” Manchester United’s manager Jose Mourinho said of his new player.
