Hearts of Oak cannot falter after 17-year drought - Hearts PRO

The PRO of Accra Hearts of Oak has stated its inevitable for his side to win the coveted trophy on October 29.

The game to be held on October 29 at the Tamale Sports Stadium on Thursday. Hearts of Oak have been in the abyss in relation to appearing in the final of the FA cup since they last won it in the year 2000.

In speaking at the ceremony ahead of the game at the Ghana Football Association Secretariat, Opare Addo sent a clear message to their opponents.

“We will not attempt to falter after 17 solid years. We said it from the beginning that our mission is to win this cup. We didn’t want to invite unnecessary pressure on us that is why we kept it game after game.”

"Eventually, the final game is here and we are not allowing Kotoko to beat us in anyway. Once the football game have spoken nothing will change Hearts of Oak will win.”

Hearts of Oak are the record holders of the cup with 10 trophies to their name.

The last time the Accra-based club won the cup was when they beat Okwawu United 2-0 in 2000.
