Michael Essien signs $500,000 deal with Adidas
The Ghanaian midfielder is the face of Adidas in Indonesia, after sealing a bumper deal with the German kit manufacturers.

Michael Essien is the most expensive player in the Indonesian league, after he signed a one-year deal with Persib Bandung in January with an option of another year.
Essien has featured for seven clubs abroad since leaving Liberty Professionals in 1999, namely Brescia, Lyon, Chelsea, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Panathinaikos and Persib Bandung, which is his first club outside Europe.
He has made 58 appearances in the shirt of the Black Stars in a thrilling national team career that has seen him play in two different FIFA World Cups.
