Brazil legend Ronaldo calls Lionel Messi a 'more complete' and 'spectacular' player

The debate about the best footballer in the world reignites as January draws near.

Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo and Argentine Lionel Messi will battle it out alongside Brazil international Neymar for the FIFA Ballon d’Or.

Brazilian and former Real Madrid Star Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima feels Barcelona player Lionel Messi is more ‘complete’ and ‘spectacular’ a player than Cristiano Ronaldo.

Brazil great Ronaldo, a three-time Ballon d’Or winner picked Lionel Messi ahead of Ream Madrid Star Cristiano Ronaldo telling Clarin in an interview:

“I choose Messi. I see Messi more complete. He does things in a most spectacular way.”

The World Player of Year will be announced at the FIFA Ballon d’Or Gala in Zurich on January 11, 2016. The current holder of the accolade is Portugal captain and Real Madrid player Cristiano Ronaldo.
