Asokwa Deportivo organise prayers for Kwadwo Asamoah

The Kumasi based division one side have planned to intercede for the Black Stars midfielder over his frequent injury worries.

Asokwa Deportivo will today have special prayers for their former player Kwadwo Asokwa in the mosque and do the same on Sunday in the church for him

Kwadwo Asamoah has enjoyed few minutes on the field since late last year when he sustained a muscle tear, missing out of the 2015 Africa Cup of nations and the final of the UEFA Champions League, despite having recovered at the time for the game, but wasn’t match fit.

Asamoah suffered a latest blow at training last week and missed Juventus’ 3-1 win over Fiorentina in the Serie A with a fresh muscle problem which has sidelined him for one month.

Some Ghanaians believe the injury woes of Kwadwo Asomoah are more spiritual than physical, so the need to reverse the spell cast on him through prayers and fasting.

Management and supporters of Asokwa Deportivo who share similar views have taken the steps to intercede for the Juventus midfielder to help avert the current predicament he finds himself.

“The frequent injuries of Kwadwo Asamoah are very strange, so on Friday, we shall go to the mosque to organize some prayers for him for Allah to heal him and reverse whatever curse that is befalling him.

“Then on Sunday, we shall accompany our Christian brothers to offer similar prayers for the boy at Asokwa Presby Church. We believe a spell has been cast upon the boy. But we shall rely on the onmipottence of Allah to reverse it,” Amidu Camarat, the President of Asokwa Deportivo told Ghanasoccernet.com.

Kwadwo Asamoah donated a 32-seater bus to Asokwa Deportivo as a way of giving back to the club that gave him the platform to exhibit his talent during his juvenile football days.
