Baba Rahman set to sign on loan for Schalke?

Baba Rahman following his recent injuries has lost form and is struggling to recuperate.

Rahman who is a Chelsea player has only played a season for the English champions after signing for them from German side Augsburg in the summer of 2015.

But he is set to remain on loan with the Schalke 04 as he seeks to recuperate to his best form after a career-threatening knee injury last July.

Rahman first picked up an injury while playing for the Ghana Black Stars in January during the African Cup of Nations tournament in Gabon before his current injury.

The 23-year-old is currently with his parent club, Chelsea undergoing physio-treatment.

According to reports from the wires, some top clubs in England are seeking sign the Ghanaian defender permanently but he chose to stay with Schalke 04 until he is fully back on track.

Amongst the clubs chasing the player are Everton, Bournemouth and Newcastle.

Baba Rahman began his career at Dreams FC, he played in the Ghanaian Premier League with Asante Kotoko. In 2012, he signed for Bundesliga club Greuther Fürth, where he spent two seasons. He then played for FC Augsburg before joining Chelsea in 2015 for a fee of £14 million, potentially rising to £22 million.

Rahman made his international debut in 2014 and was part of their squad which were runners-up at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
