Ex-Black Stars defender appointed Deputy General Secretary of CAF

Tony Baffoe has been appointed as CAF General Secretary for football and development

The new Executive Council of CAF as part of its reforms has handed Tony Baffoe an appointment.

Tony Baffoe who is the General Secretary of Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) and FIFA Match Coordinator has vast experience in football administration, so he is expected to help develop football under the new CAF President Ahmad.

Last month, a number of Ghanaians, notably, Lepowura Alhaji MND Jawula, GFA vice president George Afriyie, Fred Crentsil Felix Ansong and Abedi Pele were appointed to various committees of CAF.

Tony Baffoe played his club career in Germany and he was part of  the Black Stars team that finished runners-up in the 1992 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON)
