Cristiano Ronaldo sets new record

The Portuguese skipper on Wednesday became the first player to register a goal in every single group game in the UEFA Champions League

The 32-year-old midfielder is tipped to collect the Golden Ball for a fifth time in Paris on Thursday.

On Wednesday night, Ronaldo made it nine goals so far in the competition. Some may want to consign him to history, but in this competition at least, he just keeps making it.

Borja Mayoral started the scoring for Real Madrid in the 8th minute, before Cristiano Ronaldo doubled the scoreline when he placed the the ball beyond the reach of the Dortmund goalkeeper and in the process set a new UEFA Champions League record as the first player to score in each of his team's six group games in the competition.

However, Dortmund clawback into the game when Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang scored twice to bring them level.

Before Lukas Vasquez won the game for Real Madrid to make the final scoreline 3-2 in favour of the Los Blancos.
