UEFA U-19 Championship Gideon Mensah inspires Salzburg to 2-1 win against Atletico Madrid

The Ghanaian youngster featured as the Austrian outfit edged out Atletico Madrid to reach the semi finals of the UEFA Youth League on Tuesday.

Gideon Mensah, was instrumental in defence as Red Bull Salzburg cruised to a 2-1 victory against Atletico Madrid to secure a place in the semi-finals of the UEFA Youth League on Tuesday.

The youngster lasted the entire 90 minutes of the game. Mensah currently plays for Liefering, the feeder club of Red Bull Salzburg, but has been playing prominently for his parent club in the U-19 Championship.

Last two weeks he registered his name on the score sheet as Red Bull Salzburh hammered PSG in the UEFA U-19 Championship.


They are awaiting Porto or Barca U 19 in the semi finals with the other semis being Benfica U 19 against either Real Madrid or Ajax U 19
