“The important thing is that the local Black Stars needed to prepare so therefore the time was needed to be made for preparation.”

The Black Stars B has had players from Hearts of Oak like Vincent Atingah, Thomas Abbey and Winful Cobbinah put up electrifying performance in the WAFU Cup so far.

“One of the targets I set for my players since I joined Hearts of Oak was for them to be part of the national team. For us to have 5 players in this tournament is something positive.”

Even in the cause of the season we had Fatawu Mohammed who was part of the team. So to have 6 in the squad and we could possibly have other players to merit the position as well.” It is positive that some of the players have achieved that target we hope they continue to make valuable contribution to the team for this tournament.”
