We were unlucky against Hearts of Oak - Kotoko coach

I think luck was not on our side - Michael Osei

The Porcupine Warriors prior to the Sunday’s game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium were tipped to beat the Phobians but they were stunned by the Accra giants.

Hearts of Oak struck the first goal from the spot in the second half through Vincent Atinga. Kotoko then mounted intense pressure which they pulled even courtesy Amos Frmpong’s spot kick.

Kotoko despite having the lion share of possession couldn’t get on the score sheet again, and after 90 minutes of regular time, Hearts of Oak beat the Kumasi giants via 6-5 on penalties to set a final clash with Aduana Stars.

“I think luck was not on our side, we played good football, we dominated and as you saw we needed a win but it didn’t happen that way,” he said after the game.

“Penalties can go in favor of anyone and we were unlucky it did not go in favor of us, we will go back and prepare for the season."
