Preview of the Ghana Premier League game between Aduana Stars and Hearts of Oak.

The Dormaa based side are currently at the second position on the log sheet with 22 points while the Phobians top the table with 24 points.

A win for the host will take them to the first position. The Phobains will stretch their lead at the top if they beat the Dormaa based club.

Adauana Stars who lost their first two opening games are now one of the dangerous sides in the Ghana Premier League as they have recorded five-straight wins since the Croatian tactician Cioba Aristica got appointed as the club’s head coach after the departure of Nuru Ahmed.

The ‘Ogya lads’ in the ongoing campaign are the top scored team with 18 goals and their leading attacker Yaya Mohammed has netted nine goals. Aduana last home game they struck four times against Dreams FC

But their recent resurgence will be put to the sword by Hearts of Oak who are yet to lose an away game – winning four and drawing two. The Phobians last away game they ended Berekum Chelsea’s 42 games unbeaten run with a 1-0 win.

Aduana Stars winger Sampson Boampong a.k.a ‘Dormaa Messi’ ahead of the game spoke to Pulse.com.gh.

“We are ready for Hearts of Oak. They are in good shape but we will tame them in Dormaa because we want to end their unbeaten away run.

“The three points means a lot to us because if we win we will be going top of the table. We will not give them any chance; we will go all out for the win. The fans should come in their numbers because we will not disappoint them.”

But Hearts of Oak midfielder Mustapah Essuman is optimistic of the Phobians chances on Sunday.

“We want to keep our unbeaten away run. Aduana will attack us because they will be playing at home but with the technical direction from our coaches we will curtail their movement and beat them for the three points,” Essuman opined toPulse.com.gh.
