Dwarfs deny Liberty a win at the Carl Reindolf Park

Match report of the Ghana Premier League game between Liberty Professionals and Ebusua Dwarfs.

The Scientific Soccer lads had their noses in front two minutes into the game through Tamimu Muntari, but were undone by a brilliant Dwarfs who deservedly drew parity courtesy of Stephen Bentsil’s thumping header from Michael Insaidoo pinpoint cross from the left flank four minutes before recess.

It was high tempo game at the Carl Reindolf Park as George Lamptey's men stepped on to pitch in search of a second successive victory having afflicted Hearts of Oak a 1-0 defeat at the Accra sports stadium last Thursday in a week 14 fixture.

They began brightly and quickly took the lead courtesy of Tamimu Muntari but a rejuvenated Ebusua Dwarfs under Prosper Nartey toured the pitch with aplomb.

Liberty spectators chewed their nails on the stands as Dwarfs blew chances upon chances. Prosper Nartey's men finally got the goal they craved for much to the delight of their supporters.

A delightful midfield inter-play saw the ball roll to this left flank. Michael Insaidoo's in swinging cross found Stephen Bentsil who powered the ball beyond Kweku Andoh with four minutes to the end of the first department of the game.

The second half was more of fireworks, but the pitch marred the movement of the ball as players fumbled to get the ball under control.

Liberty were better, but the chances they created were not enough to sail the ship to the dreamland -- three points.

The pendulum swung in favour of Dwarfs, but they were also unable to find the breakthrough needed to earn a successive win for Prosper Nartey.
