Dwarfs hold Hearts of Oak in goalless draw

Heart of Oak could not win their third consecutive Ghana Premier League game on Sunday as they were held to a goalless draw by Ebusua Dwarfs in Cape Coast

Prior to the game the home side were under pressure to deliver the three points following their back to back loses to Dreams FC and New Edubiase.

Dwarfs dominated the opening stages of the game but their attacking trio led by former Hearts of Oak hit-man Romeo Agban were curtailed by the away side defense.

Foovi Aguidi came close in scoring the first goal for the Phobians but Frank Andoh saved the situation for Dwarfs.

Before the break the two sides created decent chances which they fluffed those chances as the first half ended goalless.

Dwarfs started the second half as the strongest side as they pinned the Phobians to their own half with the likes of Nicholas Gyan and Francis Mensah being their brightest player on the field.

The home side piled more pressure but they couldn’t break Hearts of Oak’s defense led by captain Robin Gnange and against the round of play Isaac Mensah tested Frank Andoh from 25 yards but Dwarfs goalie was up to the task.

Chances were far and few as both sides stood their ground as the game ended 0-0 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
