Hearts of Oak's 'Never Say Die' attitude won the match - Hebert Addo

"I think the 'Never Say Die' attitude won them the game and I commend them for that" - Inter Allies coach Hebert Addo

A stupendous performance in the second half by the Phobians, ensured they came from two goals down to beat the 'Eleven Is To One' 3-2 at the Tema sports stadium on Sunday.

Herbert Addo, who was not disappointed after the game, believes the mantra of the club, 'Never Say Die Until The Bones Are Rotten', played a vital role in their resurgence to win the game.

"Hearts have improved judging them from the first half when they were not even touching the ball, and the way they came back strongly into the game, I think the 'Never Say Die' attitude won them the game and I commend them for that. That's very good for a team and we (Inter Allies) need that too," Herbert Addo said in post-match press conference.

In the dying embers of the game, Hearts of Oak controlled every aspect of play, and their dominance paid dividends. Herbert Addo reckons experience on the part of their players was key to their success in the game.

He was happy with his team's output, but bemoaned lack of experience players in his set up.

“We have a very good team, but if you have team with very good players, you need experienced players too to complement your squad to control the game but we lack that against a team with experience players.

“We all came for three points, we controlled the game for longer periods, scored and they used their experience to get the winning goal in a very nice match," he noted.
