Liberty Professionals beat Inter Allies 2-1

The Scientific Soccer Lads defeated the Tema based side 2-1

Early first half goals from Cephas Opoku and Latif Atta Blessing kept the Scientific Soccer Lads in commanding lead, but Inter Allies came in strongly and got the consolation goal in the 58 minute from Boateng Frederick.

A meeting of the two sides known as the home for churning out talents, once the pair got into their stride they put on a show of attacking football the fixture warranted.  Kodie first tested Kissi Kingsley in the’ Eleven Is To One’ goal, who was set to have a busy half.

However Inter Allies came closest at scoring in the early exchanges, with Prince Baffoe's low shot forcing Fatau Alhassan Dida into a fine save.

The pendulum swung the way of Liberty Professionals from there on though, with Latif Blessing and Baba Zakaria controlling the game. 6 minutes into the game Liberty found the breakthrough. A well lofted corner found the forehead of Cephas Opoku who powered home a thunderbolt.

Three minutes later, Latif Blessing doubled the advantage from another corner and sealed the contest.

While it looked a tall order for the ‘Eleven Is To One’ to come in that Boateng Frederick scored to give them a live wire.

A rare error by Liberty's backline gifted Herbert Addo's side a simple goal and it looked too little and looked possible for Allies.
