The deputy, Black Stars coach, Maxwell Konadu has admitted that constant movement of players abroad has been the bane of the local football in Ghana.

The Ghana Premier League, which is the top flight league in Ghana has been criticised for being unattractive by a section of the public.

It is believed that the league lacks quality compared to the past and Konadu believes that player exodus has been a major factor.

"There is a real concern where in Ghana when you call a home-based player to the national team today tomorrow he goes abroad,” he told the press in South Africa

“I don’t know if the FA can do something about it but it’s something that is not helping our domestic league.”

“Maybe you people in South Africa can offer some good money so the players stay here.”

“But for us we mostly depend on the foreign based players because of this issue.”
