Tom Strand rules out Ghana return

Former Medeama SC coach Tom Strand says he is working on a new project and has ruled out a return to a coaching job in Ghana

The Swedish tactician last Monday was in the news after he left a resignation note at his hotel room in South Africa following the Tarkwa giants’ 3-1 defeat at Mamelodi Sundowns in the final play off of the CAF Confederation Cup.

There have been viral media reports indicating that Ashanti Gold, Inter Allies and Kotoko have targeted the 35 year-old gaffer but he says he is not ready to return to Ghana.

"No I won't return because I have other focus I'm working on now so I don't think I would return," he told Accra-based Asempa FM.

Strand last season guided Medeama to win the MTN FA Cup after beating Kotoko 2-1 at the Essipong Sports Stadium.
