"We respect Ghana as a team, but we are here to with one objective, which is to remain intact and achieve our objective, which is to win" - Abel Xavier
The OS Mamba are in Ghana to lock horns with the senior national team, Black Stars, for a place in the 2017 Africa Cup of nations in Gabon, and head coach of the team, Abel Xavier says they are here to win to enhance their chances.
Abel Xavier says they have lots of respect, but he will present a courageous team to achieve his target.
"We are very pleased to be here to compete in this game. It is an important game for us. We have some changes but we think is going to be very positive towards our objective," the former Portuguese International told the press after their final training session at the Accra sports stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
"We still have impact on our possibilities. We respect Ghana as a team, but we are here to with one objective, which is to remain intact and achieve our objective, which is to win.
"For this reason we prepared all this week carefully, analysed the opponent respecting them, and we are going to present a team with lots of courage to try to break a strong team because we have the hope that we can also produce what I think and what we believe," he said.
