In the English Championship, Albert Adomah came off the bench to make his debut for new club Aston Villa in their game against Ipswich Town.

The Ghanaian replaced Leando Bacuna in the 82nd minute.

Christian Atsu also made a substitute appearance for Newcastle United in their game against Wolverhampton Wanderers at home.

In the Italian Serie A, Godfred Donsah came on for Bologna on the hour mark in their game against Napoli. Bologna lost their away game by three goals to one.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu played the full game for Udinese who lost their Serie A home game against Chievo Verona by two goals to one.

Alfred Duncan also played the full game for Sassuolo who won their game against Genoa by two goals to nil.

Afriyie Acquah featured for Torino in their Serie A game against Empoli. The Ghanaian midfielder played the full game in the goalless draw.

Kwadwo Asamoah played the full game for Italian Serie A champions Juventus who travelled to battle Inter Milan. Asamoah and his team lost their first game of the Serie A season with a 2-1 defeat against Inter Milan.

Kwadwo Asamoah received a yellow card booking in the game.

In the Spanish La Liga, Thomas Partey was not in the Atletico Madrid squad who won their home game against Sporting Gijon by five goals to nil.

Kevin-Prince Boateng came on as a 69th minute substitute for Las Palmas in their game against Malaga on Saturday. The Ghanaian and his team continued their good run in the La Liga with a 1-0 win against Malaga.

In Germany, Abdul Baba Rahman who scored in midweek kept his place in the Schalke 04 team and played the full game against Hertha Berlin. The Ghanaian player and his team lost by two goals to nil.

Abdul Majeed Waris was a 68th minute substitute for FC Lorient in their game against Lille on Saturday. Lorient won the home game by one goal to nil.

In Belgium, Frank Acheampong played the full game for Anderlecht in their 2-0 away win at Genk.

Mubarak Wakaso was an unused substitute for Panathinaikos in their 4-0 home win against PAS Giannina.

Asamoah Gyan was on target as Al Ahli thrashed their opponent 4-0 in the Arabian Gulf League UAE League on Friday.

Asamoah Gyan required just four minutes on Friday to slot home his 96th goal in the Arabian Gulf League, as the Red Knights kicked off their title defence with a 4-0 triumph against Emirates Club which required a late flourish to gain gloss.

In the MLS, David Accam scored for Chichago Fire in their 2-2 draw against DC United. Accam started and played in the full duration of the game.

Lloyd Sam also played 70 minutes for DC United before making way for Lamar Neagle. Ghanaian player Patrick Nyarko played the full game for DC United.

Harrsion Afful and his Columbus Crew team won their away game against Orlando City by four goals to one. The Ghanaian played the full game for Columbus Crew at the back of defence.
