Fans of home team Bibiani Gold Stars protested the decisions of the match day referee and their disapproval turned violent after Elmina Sharks scored what they deemed an offside goal.
The home fans stoned the assistant referee for allowing the goal before attacking players and officials of the away team Elmina Sharks leaving some seriously injured and hospitalized.
