Samuel Inkoom, is singing the praise of his Boavista teammates after coming from 2 goals and a man down to secure a gallant 2-2 draw at Vitoria Setubal in the Portugal Primeira Liga on Sunday.

The Ghana defender played all 90 minutes in what was also his first league game for his new side after joining this summer.

Boastiva fell two goals behind before Idrissa Mandiang was also sent off and Inkoom is hailing the mental strength of his team mates to nick a point away from home in the challenging circumstance.

"My first game of the season and we went away and played 2-2. Even though we were down by two goals, we came back and equalised," Inkoom told Pulse.com.gh exclusively from his Portuguese base.

"One of our players was given a red card but we managed a draw, it's a good start for the team," the Ghanaian defender added.

Inkoom's side next host Tondela on Sunday in match day 2 tie and the former Kotoko, Basel and Dnipro defender is adamant his side must take the same strength of character into their remaining games in the 2015/16 season campaign.

"We were down by a man and two goals but we managed to get a point. It is massive and a good start for the season but we just need to do more," Inkoom said.
