Hearts of Oak for the past seven seasons have not won at home against their fiercest rivals.
Hearts of Oak – Kotoko clash will be the 104 meetings between the two giants in Ghanaian football and their clash is the biggest rivalry in the country’s football history.
The Phobians will be going into the weekend’s clash from the backdrop of a 2-1 loss at Tema Youth, while the Porcupine Warriors won their last game at home – beating WAFA 1-0.

Since the season began, the Accra giants have played three games at home – they have won two and drawn one , while the Kumasi giants have also played three away games –winning one and drawing two.
Last season at the Accra Sports Stadium, Hearts of Oak despite their form lost 0-1 following Soulama Abdoulaye’s howler.
For the first time in a decade, the two teams will be going into the game having expatriate coaches in their dug – Frank Nuttall will be on the bench for Hearts of Oak, while Kotoko has Zdravko Logarusic.
