Our hard work paid off, says Yaw Preko

Yaw Preko credits hard work for his team's Ghana Premier League win on Sunday.

Prior to the game, the Phobians had gone seven games without a win, which resulted in the demotion of coach Sergio Traguil.

However, Preko who was then the assistant coach was tasked by the club’s board to handle the team till the end of the season.

And the former Black Stars winger, despite pressure from the club’s fans due to the Accra giants’ slump in form urged his charges as they pipped Dwarfs 1-0 courtesy Foovi Aguidi’s second half free-kick.

“I’m working very hard, the boys also are working for very hard, the league is not over so we are going to fight till the end  because looking at the league table we also have the chance to win the league,” he added.

The Phobians are at the third position with 45, three points adrift the league leaders Aduana Stars.

Preko’s side in their next game will host Medeama at the Accra Sports Stadium in the penultimate game of the domestic top-flight championship.
