Sabbah Quaye blames club's fans for team's poor home form

"The reason why we are not performing well in Accra is because of the in-fighting between the club’s supporters in Accra" - Sabbah Quaye.

According to Quaye, the reason behind the Accra giants’ poor form at home is because of power struggle between the Greater Accra Regional Chapters Committee and the National Chapters Committee headed by Barimah Attuahene.

“I have been saying that it will take Hearts of Oak to beat Hearts of Oak, if the club want to perform it will depend on the club itself, Hearts of Oak are their own enemies,” Quaye told Hot FM.

“Hearts of Oak supporters are the reason why the club is performing poorly at home. Hearts of Oak is like governance in Ghana [Executive, legislative and Judiciary]. If the three works perfectly, everything goes on well that is how Hearts of Oak is like. We have three bodies in Hearts of Oak, supporters, management and board but if they are working perfectly we will be having good results.

“All my days in Hearts of Oak, two sectors might not be in good terms but the playing body will churned out positive results. I must say on record that currently the management and board are doing well but the supporting sector is what is killing the club. When we travel away from Accra to other regions the supporters are superb. My investigation reveals that RCC of Accra and NCC, some of the members are not in good terms and someone has stressed that he will make sure Attuahene will not win any cup. So the reason why we are not performing well in Accra is because of the in-fighting between the club’s supporters in Accra.”
