"Winning GPL is not our priority" - PRO

Ghana Premier League side Hearts of Oak says winning the league title is not a priority

Hearts of Oak Public Relation Kwame Opare Addo Officer has stated that winning the Ghana Premier League is not his outfit’s immediate priority, adding the clubs is in its rebuilding process.

The Phobians have gone seven seasons without a major silverware, and the supporters have grown impatient due to the shambolic displayed by the team as they nearly got relegated last season.

However, according to the club’s PRO, the Accra giants doesn’t have the quality yet and has called on the supporters to be patient with the tem ahead of the Ghana Premier League billed for 20 February, 2016.

‘’We are still building; we feel that our team is not complete yet. I think we should build it to a certain level so that when we are playing we will be confessant with our play. Last season, our play was not all that good, this season we must do better than we did last season,’’ he told Boss FM.

‘’Though the competition is very tough, we hope to finish building by the time the league is over. We are building and that doesn’t mean we will not challenge for the cup. We will put in challenge for all the competitions that we will play in hoping that it will get better with us,’’ he added.

Hearts of Oak will host New Edubiase in their 2015/16 Ghana Premier League opener.
