Essien, Drogba join Abramovich to celebrate as Chelsea thrash Arsenal

Ghana midfielder, Michael Essien and former Ivory Coast skipper Didier Drogba watched their former side Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge as they defeated Arsenal 3-1

Michael Essien, who has been clubless since he parted ways with Panathinaikos FC in the Greece topflight league has been training at Cobham training grounds.

And in a London derby against rivals Arsenal, Drogba alongside Ukrainian Andriy Shevchenko and Michael Essien joined Abramovich in the VIP Lounge at the Stamford Bridge and they couldn't hide their joy when they hammered  the Gunners 3-1.

Marcos Alonso started the scoring with 18 minutes into the first and Eden Hazard doubled Chelsea's lead after the interval in a world class fashion- he dribbled past three players before he finished off nicely and Cesc Fabrigas capitalised on a blunder committed by Petr Cesc to give the hosts a 3-0 lead.  Olivier Djourou pulled one back for Arsenal.

Chelsea after the victory are 12 points clear on top of the Premier league table and the Italian Antonio Conte is looking forward to win the league on his debut season.
