Emmanuel Adebayor installed as chief in Togo

The former Arsenal striker has been honoured in his native country, Togo in recognition for his contribution to humanitarian activities

The 33-year-old skipper of the Hawks of Togo who helped the nation qualify for their maiden FIFA World Cup in 2006 has been embarking on a nationwide tour to offer humanitarian services to the poor and needy in his native country.

His work which has touched the hearts of the kinsmen of Kpalimé, after his humanitarian activities in the Southwest Togo has influenced their decision to install him as a sub chief.

He has also been in the news this week for deciding to support 90 children in Togo for a period of 90 days.

Emmanuel Adebayor has had the opportunity to play for clubs such as Monaco, Arsenal, Manchester City, Real Madrid and currently plys his trade in Turkey.
