Hearts of Oak coach wants more Japanese support

Kenichi Yatsuhashi wants Japanese fans to be addicted to Ghana Premier League club Accra Hearts of Oak

Hearts of Oak head trainer Kenichi Yatsuhashi wants Japanese fans to be addicted to the club in offering their unflinching support.

Last Sunday, 100 fans from Japanese community in Ghana were at the VIP section of the Accra Sports Stadium including the Japanese Ambassador to Ghana Lt Col Yoshifumi Fukuyama to offer their support to their countryman in a Premier League game.

On the day they left the Stadium with much happiness as Kenichi’s side leave it late to beat New Edubiase 1-0 thanks to Samuel Yeboah’s intelligent strike.

And the Accra giants’ gaffer has welcomed the club’s new supporters and he expectS them to be addicted to the club.

"They are as important as some of our new supporters we have gotten recently,I hope they will become like our long time Hearts supporters," said Kenichi.He added: "There is a long way to go. It is very important for us to regain our traditional supporters as well as  gaining new generation of supporters, which I hope to expand beyond Ghana and Africa into North America, Asia, Europe, Oceania, Central America, Caribbeans, and South America."

Hearts of Oak will play their next two games away to Medeama and Dwarfs before returning to Accra in their week 4 game against Bechem United.
