Ahmed Adams: “We didn’t sabotage David Duncan”

The Kotoko defender has rubbished reports that David Duncan was sabotaged by the playing body of the club

The former AshGold and Hearts of Oak coach was asked to step-aside for his assistant Michael Osei to take charge of the club, following Asante Kotoko’s poor start to the season, which rocked the team bottom of the league ladder, after match day 6.

However, Osei has been able to turn things around at the club, having won 3 of his 4 league games in charge to lift the Porcupine warriors to the middle of the league table.

This has intensified reports that the players undermined David Duncan’s reign, but Ahmed Adams has come to the defence of his colleague, stating that nothing has changed under Michael Osei.

“We didn’t sabotage David Duncan. We were very close to him. The only thing that differentiated us from Duncan was his attire whenever we were together with him.

“Michael Osei has not brought anything new to the club, it is the old Kotoko,” he told Happy FM.
