Ghana international Michael Essien had a heated argument with the referee in Panathinaikos' defeat, rues bad week in Athens

Ghanaian player Michael Essien has taken to social media to reflect on a bad week in Athens, the capital of Greece since his transfer move to Panathinaikos.

The Black Stars midfielder’s home was burgled last Wednesday before his Panathinaikos side were defeated at home by a goal to nil on Saturday.

Essien, in the defeat against Xanthi had a heated argument with the match referee and appeared to have hit the official as he put his point across.

The Ghanaian player got away with his actions without a booking.
