Jordan Kahu scored two second-half tries as Brisbane Broncos came from behind to beat Sydney Roosters 24-14 in Corey Parker's final regular season game at Suncorp Stadium.

The Broncos claimed a fourth win in a row - despite being far from their best - to move into the top four, but will drop back to fifth if defending premiers North Queensland Cowboys beat Gold Coast Titans on Saturday.

A crowd of 37,566 came for what could have been a farewell for Parker, but the captain will feature at Lang Park for one final time in the finals this month before he retires.

The Broncos will have to raise their game if Parker is to sign off with an NRL title after they were given a scare on Thursday, with tries from Dale Copley and Connor Watson as well as six points from the boot of Blake Ferguson giving the Roosters a 14-0 lead.

Converted tries from influential duo Anthony Milford and James Roberts reduced the deficit to two points at half-time and Wayne Bennett's men kicked on after the break.

Darius Boyd sparked a slick move from left to right and Kahu had a simple finish in the corner to put the Broncos in front for the first time.

]He went over again to make sure of victory six minutes from time, with Parker converting on a special night for the veteran forward.

The Roosters must go back to the drawing board after finishing a miserable season second-bottom.
