Ireland wing Zebo is set to miss five Pro12 matches after suffering the injury during a 23-13 win in the opening game of the season at Scarlets last weekend.

Munster will be hoping the flyer will recover in time for their first game of the European Champions Cup against last year's runners-up Racing 92 on October 16.

Hooker Kevin O'Byrne will be out for three months after damaging his elbow late in the victory over Scarlets.

Director of rugby Rassie Erasmus has drafted in former Stormers and Western Province man Taute, who can operate at centre or full-back, with Francis Saili and Sammy Arnold also unavailable.

The 25-year-old was capped three times by South Africa in 2012 and has over 50 Super Rugby appearances under his belt.
