Kieran Foran will make his Parramatta Eels return in Monday's NRL encounter with Melbourne Storm.

Eels captain Foran was granted indefinite leave last month in order to deal with personal problems and has been receiving medical treatment.

Parramatta chief executive John Boulous said Foran, who spent three weeks in a Brisbane rehabilitation clinic, was under no pressure to return to NRL action.

The skipper is now set to feature against the Storm at Pirtek Stadium, where the Eels will look to respond to their capitulation against South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Centre Michael Jennings said on Friday: "He trained with us today and so far it's good. He's pretty positive and he trained well. It's good to have him back.

"He's the ultimate professional so he would've been looking after himself away from training. He didn't look out of beat when he was on the paddock."

Eels coach Brad Arthur told Sky Sports Radio's Big Sports Breakfast: "His doctor thinks that what is best for him now is to get back into playing football.

"He's still going to need some ongoing treatment. He will go back on Tuesday and then we'll go into the Newcastle game and then we've got a bye. So that gives him a fair bit of time to continue his treatment."
